Actually, I would prefer a mnemonic that included all the new Dwarf Planets.

So the new string of letters to represent would be:

M-V-E-M-c-J-S-U-N-p-m-e

I don't miss the mnemonics. I hated being forced to make them up when I had already known the order of the planets.

Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune

It may have been I was interested because of the pretty pictures of the planets in books. Each was so unique and pretty until you came to Pluto. It was cold, desolate, ugly, and grey, and sometimes it would interrupt the order of the planets and make Neptune the ninth.

From 1977 to 1997 that was actually correct, as Pluto's orbit had taken him closer to the sun than Neptune during this time.
