I PMed her to ask, but it was just before she moved, so i don't think she got it.

I don't think it's an oversight, though. The only people ever to have admin privs on the forum were Lady and Mel, when Mel was running the website (which she isn't any more, I don't think).

Well, I'd be willing to do admin duty, but I'm not on the forum as much as I used to be. If rapid response is required, Mane or Space would be a better candidate, I think.

But yes, we need another admin who can ban stupid spam bots.

True. But the spambots have gotten a good bit more aggressive since then, and Lady spends less time on the forum than she did then.

Why are they all porn bots? No, I take that back - we had that spate of home equity loans and financing too. But why are they all porn? Can't we have spambots touting tools and cars and clothing and normal stuff? What is it about this forum that says, "Yes! We'll click on a link to a pr0n site"?

Perhaps it's just that this forum does not have any big distinguishing marks that would attract the attention of semi-serious advertizers.

Porn and loan sharks on the other hand are quite happy to spam just about anywhere.

So, basically, we're not specifically attracting porn spammers - we simply repel all others.
