Ta daaaaaaaaaaaa
I feel kinda bad for Yang Yilin... I just hope she doesn't go home to "Every other gymnastic gold went to China - why did YOU screw up?"
But the American's were great, I have to admit.
Track starts today! Hurdles! _________________ Keeper of Nanashi's Vambraces and the Amethyst Trees.

Last night watching the Olympics, every time it showed a Chinese gymnast, my brother shouted "Why is there a twelve-year-old on my TV!" _________________ ...In accordance with the prophesy.

Figures the only night of Olympics that I miss is when America goes 1 2 in gymnastics XD
I missed it for the midnight Star Wars though, so that was a fun solution.
I can't wait for track to start. Swimming and gymnastics are great, but once the first week is wrapping up it's time for something new. _________________ If you're reading this, you haven't quite made it to the next post. |

I gotta admit, I'm downright disappointed with CBC's coverage of these Olympics. They are usually showing Olympics 24/7 and this time, they're jumping around all over the place showing snippets... AND WHERE THE HECK IS PETER MANSBRIDGE?!
Anyway, last time I watched the Olympics, I was watching them from a web cafe in China. Now I'm watching these Olympics from Canada... which only means that I'm going to have to watch Vancouver's Olympics from London. _________________ My printer thinks it's some kinda guitar hero because it won't stop jamming.

Woot! The individual eventing has started! I can't believe Britain's lost Zara Phillips...
And Phelps? He's unstoppable. _________________ Fall down seven times, get up eight. --Japanese Proverb

Haven't caught him yet, right now Hacket (AUS) is in contention for the third 1500m gold in a row. I think Phelps with his eighth is next. Saw Torres win second! _________________ Self-styled Forum Grandmother, because I hand out nicknames and hugs whether you want them or not. ^_^

Mm, the British coverage of any Phelps race starts with the Jaws theme. And they've got a life-size cardboard cutout of him which they're haning medals round the neck of when he wins them *groan* _________________ Keeper of Tristram's rings, and Felucca's very expressive ears. |

Watched the whole evening from women's 50m that Germany won, through to the medal ceremony for mens 400m relay. Usain Bolt is unbelievable! My dad is 6'5" - he'd never be able to run that fast! _________________ Self-styled Forum Grandmother, because I hand out nicknames and hugs whether you want them or not. ^_^

Yay, Phelps! I feel sorry for the American relay team, though-they all won the gold but only Phelps gets the attention. D: _________________ I love children...but I could never eat a whole one.

Well, they were very gracious about it in the post-race interview with NBC. The reporter talked to all of them first before Phelps, and all three gave him every accolades. _________________ Self-styled Forum Grandmother, because I hand out nicknames and hugs whether you want them or not. ^_^

I saw an interview that mentioned Phelps had ADHD. Who didn't know that already? _________________ ...In accordance with the prophesy.

Phelps really got bullied as a kid. Something about big ears.
